VENA, the Venue & Event Network Alliance, is a resource hub and growing community for the people who build and run networks in convention centers, hotels, arenas, stadiums, performing arts centers, and live events.
Event networks have gotten more complex every year. One show can depend on wired, wireless, cellular, cloud, and AV-over-IP all working together, often set up in days and torn down in hours. This doesn't include the fact that the hospitality industry has been steering towards a heavy reliance on advanced technology systems for years. The people who make that happen are spread across venue IT teams, production companies, event IT firms, and service providers, and most of what they know gets learned one show at a time. And while venue and event IT is one of the most challenging technology environments to work in, there’s little established knowledge or community built around it.
We’re here to change that by sharing practical guides and checklists, and by bringing people together to learn from each other. VENA is just getting started, and we’d like you to be part of it.
